Using Technology to Benefit Plaintiffs and the Environment

Every year law firms use countless pages of paper. I believe in harnessing technology to increase efficiency and minimize the amount of paper and other natural resources used in the representing San Francisco area injury victims.

So, I have taken simple steps utilizing low-cost technologies that most offices have in order to increase my efficiency and productivity, while at the same time helping me provide the best possible representation to my clients that I can deliver.

For instance, I don't use a fax machine. Fax machines are wasteful in their use of paper and share the same phone lines as e-mail - meaning they are no more or less secure. And most printers today have a scanning feature or option that makes scanning documents and attaching them to an e-mail simple and efficient.

I also utilize e-mail as my primary form of communication with clients, experts, and even courts where possible.

And I obtain and store as many medical records and other documents in electronic format. Thus, with simple and fairly inexpensive software these records can be used and stored with less expense and greater ease without creating any paper copy.

From running a virtually paperless office by maintaining files in electronic format (via scanning, Adobe, and Apple technologies), to foregoing the use of facsimiles entirely in order to minimize the creation of paper copy, I am constantly striving to find ways to reduce my environmental footprint while at the same time maximize my effectiveness at representing my clients' interests.

Minimizing my environmental footprint, and taking these simple steps around the office, enables me to more effectively prepare my cases for trial and bring ethical, innovative and passionate representation to my clients.
